Do the travel size bottles for carry-on liquids have to have the size/volume printed on the bottle? - carry on liquids

I have a few bottles refillable travel size (1.7 ounces) that are empty (ie, is not an indication of the size of the AMT in liquid, even though it is obviously less than 3 oz) - this is normal in the zip - lock pocket?
